Chapter 2: What Happens During Treatment
And How Does The Process Begin?
We take a panoramic x-ray, showing your head, face, and jaw to aid the doctor in taking specific measurements and plan your treatment.
Impressions (diagnostic models) of your teeth are taken to record the way your teeth and jaw fit together. Dr. Bertolini may even include a diagnostic wax-up if needed to show how your new smile will look and function.
Dr. Bertolini’s assistant also takes photographs of your face, teeth, and profile. Often the difference between before and after photos is astounding! View more before and after photos from our patient smile makeovers.
After deciding which treatment is right for you, Dr. Bertolini will explain how your treatment will be done. Depending on what treatment path you have decided upon, there may be a need to correct gum, bone, or tooth positioning issues. Any concern will be explained thoroughly along with the process that you will take in your treatment.
After your consultation with Dr. Bertolini, a member of our front office team will explain your payment options if your treatment is not covered by insurance.
