Dr. Bertolini has been practicing dentistry since 1977 and his practice has been located in the Canton area since 1980. After serving in the Vietnam War, as a medic and a dental technician, he returned to school to study dentistry. He then graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry. Then in 1994, he earned a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. He has completed a five-year Orthodontic training course of study and has 30+ years experience in all aspects of Orthopedics and Orthodontics.
His desire is to be the best dentist he can be and to constantly strive to give his patients the best care possible. To that end, he is a perpetual student of the science and techniques of dentistry. Dr. Bertolini loves restoring smiles. He does not use an in-house ‘crown-while-you-wait’ machine because he feels that the crowns they create are not up to his exacting standards as far as fit, color, contour, and ultimately value for his patients. He is continuously striving to better his techniques and approaches to dental challenges.
Dr. Bertolini has vast and varied experience in all aspects of cosmetic dentistry. Did you know that Dr. Bertolini is a pioneer in the use of cosmetic bonded composite and has had a metal-filling-free practice since 1984?
He and his Team are able to handle the simplest to the most complicated cosmetic smile makeover. On any given day his office may do orthodontics, whitening, sophisticated bonding, veneering, implants and also crown and bridge work. Every time you have a procedure done by Dr. B & his Team you can be sure you are receiving the best material and it is being done with the best techniques!
Dr. Bertolini and his Team would love to show you their smile gallery. They are very adept at and truly enjoy giving you the smile you’ve always wanted!

What Does The FAGD Stand For After Dr. Bertolini’s Title?
Dr. Bertolini is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), an organization of general dentists who are dedicated to professional development and continuing education. All AGD members must remain current with advances in the profession to provide quality patient treatment. These members challenge themselves to learn more so they can provide their patients with the highest quality of care.
Dr. Bertolini has been awarded the prestigious Fellowship distinction in the Academy of General Dentistry. This required Dr. Bertolini to complete a minimum of 500 hours of FAGD- approved continuing education credits and the passage of a comprehensive 400-question examination that covers all aspects of dentistry. This distinction is held by less than 4% of all dentists in the United States and Canada.
Dr. Bertolini follows a lifelong pursuit of postgraduate dental science education to provide the highest quality dental care to his patients. With 1000’s of hours of continuing education credits, his patients can be certain that every procedure he does has a solid scientific basis to it.
Why is This Important to You?
It is important because it means that with every procedure he does, he bumps that kind of knowledge into it! His maximum effort and care are put into everything he does. And having FAGD after their name, you can rest assured that he cares about knowing the latest techniques and best practices in dentistry. AGD Fellows practice these techniques in a classroom setting multiple times a year — not every dentist does this.
